"Sitter was super unprofessional!!"
I booked a sitter through PetBacker it was a bad experience!! They took forever to reply, showed up late, and just didn’t seem prepared at all!!! I kept having to ask for updates, which made the whole thing way more stressful than it needed to be. Maybe other people have had better luck, but I definitely won’t be using it again!!

"Pickup was fine, but drop-off was frustrating"
Picking up the car was actually easy and everything was on time, so I was hopeful. But the drop-off ended up being more confusing than I expected, which was disappointing. It wasn’t a terrible experience overall, but I really wish that part had been clearer and easier

The boarding area was really clean, and I didn’t notice any weird smells, which says a lot. Reading between the lines, it felt like they stay on top of things back there, and my pup seemed happy when I picked him up.

I tried booking a sitter through PetBacker, the whole thing felt a lot messier than I expected. From my point of view, there were too many steps and messages going back and forth, and I wasn’t even totally sure when the booking was actually confirmed.
I was hoping it would be quick and straightforward, but it ended up taking longer than I wanted and left me frustrated. Maybe it works better once you’re used to it, but as a first-time experience, I didn’t find it very easy to use.

"Dog walks were a bit underwhelming"
I tried PetBacker for dog walking a few times, and it was just okay. The walker was friendly, so no issue there, but the walks felt shorter than I expected and my dog didn’t really seem tired afterward. I was also a little confused because the website makes it sound like you’ll get more detailed updates and a thorough walk experience, but the updates I got were very basic. Maybe it just depends on the walker you book, but for the price, I thought there would be a bit more activity and care.

"Great care for my dog while I was away"
I used PetBacker for my dog while I was away for 3 days, and it was a really good experience. The sitter sent me photos, and my dog looked happy and relaxed the whole time. He came back clean and calm too, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. it made me realize how much stress is preventable when you find someone reliable. I’d definitely book again...

I tried petbacker for the first time and, i was a little nervous about paying online because I’m usually skeptical with apps like this. But it actually went smoothly. I liked that the payment was held until the booking was finished, so it didn’t feel like I was just handing money over to someone I didn’t know.

Once my pet sitter finished everything, releasing the payment was really straightforward. No confusing steps or random surprises, which I personally appreciate a lot. I’m probably more cautious than some people with online payments, but this felt handled well to me.

I had a little issue with my booking so I messaged support, not really expecting a quick reply tbh. But they got back to me fast and helped fix it without making the whole thing a hassle. I was already a bit nervous about leaving my dog with someone new, so the quick replies made me feel way less stressed.

"Just didn’t feel comfortable leaving my dog there"
I didn’t feel great about leaving my dog with them. It seemed like the safety checks were bare minimum, and I kept getting the feeling they were more focused on getting through the booking than actually making sure my pet was okay. When I reached out for support, the responses didn’t really reassure me either, like they were trying to brush it off rather than address the concern. Maybe I’m being overly cautious, but I just didn’t feel like my dog was properly watched or protected

I used petbacker for my dog it went smoothly. The sitter sent me photo and video updates, which was really nice because I could actually see he was eating, playing, and not just dramatically missing me the whole time (he’s a bit of a clingy one). It definitely helped me relax while I was away. The only minor thing was that a few replies took a little longer than I expected, but nothing too serious. Overall, it was a good experience and I’d use it again.

I found a few sitters close by quickly, which was nice. Not every area seems to have the same amount of options tho, so it might depend where you live. But it worked out well for my dog and I'd use it again for sure.
